How we measure

Net keystrokes per minute

Correct characters left in the text, divided by the minutes of active practice. If you delete a correct letter and type it again, it does not count twice.

Words per minute

One word is five characters (international convention). Words per minute = net keystrokes / 5.

Accuracy

Correct keystrokes out of all keystrokes. Correcting does not erase the error: accuracy reflects what happened, not how the text ended up.

Position-by-position comparison

Each character is compared with the one that should be in that position. If you skip a letter, everything after it counts as an error until you go back. This is the strict model used in typing speed tests; in lessons, every error must also be corrected to move on.

Time

In practice, the clock stops when you pause or switch tabs. In tests and assessments it never stops: time is calculated from the real clock, so reloading or putting the computer to sleep does not buy you time.

Unverified results

If we detect pasted or block-inserted text, the result is marked as unverified and does not count towards your trends.

What we are not

We are not an official simulator for any Spanish public-sector exam (oposiciones) and we do not issue certificates. Your results are a self-assessment.
